Does anyone here do work or is an employee for Sonic Automotive Group? My question would be how are they to work for and how do they pay thier installers?

No idea, but they have dealerships here in the dallas area they have bought...

Their dealers are run autonomously with over site from corporate. That said, pay at store A can very well be different from store B even if they shared managment? I worked in house and was paid very little, I was replaced after a 18mo. by the GM's friend/outsourcing. Inhouse would be payed by the labor hour, which is 40-50$ an hour inhouse an example would be, 3.5 hrs. x $40=120min. add parts tripling quantity/costs on tint ($75) New cars gets billed $195 for a 4dr. installer gets $42. And service adds to their billable labor hrs. wich looks great on company reports. Outsourcing cost was $125-150 billed directly to New Cars. You don't need a degree to figure it can't last forever. As to doing contract work with which I am also familiar with, they slow pay. Especially at quarters end <30 Sorry for such a long 1st. post but I know something about them.
