Lets see the tool that got you out of a jam

In the Pic of the Week thread I described the project a bit

In short the tubes were to be sandblasted for some light fixture or something. As installers we didn't always get the full info on the project ,it was always "see if you can and how fast"

They asked if it could be done. We said we would try but will cost big $$ for "just" the test but would come up with a per unit cost that would absorb the testing costs if they were happy with the result.

They sent a sample tube that we sent back filmed. They loved it and sent a lot more that you can see in one of the photos on the skid.

During the test we took 3 " strips and wrapped them inside one end to get the correct measurement of the circumference and found that its natural curve of the film actually helped it want to bond to the glass.

Pieces were precut about a foot long so we could handle it and adjust before locking in with the " Plungereggee" on a stick.

We had to try a few times on the test to get the slip just right to slide the film all the way through the tube without it bunching up. During this process the film was "upgraded" to thicker to solve the problem of getting it all the way through the tube.

I cannot find the pics but we also screwed a gray lido on the end of a pole to give some trouble spots attention.

I never did find out where they were eventually installed :sad
