I dought it. I was working for one of my brother in-laws who is a 3M user of flat glass. I was doing cars on the side and had a customer come in for a warranty claim on a panther purple job from Texas. I called the CA 3M dist. and told them I had a warranty claim (useing my brother in-laws buisness name) He says "you don't use auto film." I said not normally but I have a warranty issue with your film. I told him I needed like 56" for a rear window of a van. He grudgeingly mails me a piece on a 60" roll about a 28" pull.

When I pulled it out I was so pissed cause the factory edges were on the sides of the window and not on the top and bottom. I thought it was weird he sent me a 60" but thought maybe it was a remnant on the core.

Oh ya the film came off in little pieces. I spent the extra time saving the defroster lines. 3M wanted me to mail them the used film. I put the thousands of stinky purple pieces in a manilla envelope and mailed it. The most likely threw it in the trash when it got there.

I ended up thorwing the panter in the trash and retinted it with SG HP6. She was happy I made no money and she thinks to this day that there is panther on her rear window.

Bought a roll of that Panther stuff and still have some sitting around. Luckily I didn't install too much of that film. When I put some on my own vehicle, I noticed how distorted it was. All I can say is, I was not impressed. :ford

Couldn't get myself to sell something I didn't believe in. What a disappointment. :ford

Thats some smelly @#$% comming off {old panther}. Speaking of crappy tint with a nice install I saw a 03 or 04 Accord last week with chrome to smoke fader all around. Nice install with no dust, creases or light gaps, just some gay tint fuggin up an nice black car. :booga

      I am looking for an experienced Window Tint and/or PPF installer for a new shop opening in North Dallas (Frisco, Prosper, McKinney area). Must be damn good with a strong work ethic and put out quality work. You’ll have plenty of freedom but work is expected to get done as customers come first.       TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      All Right cool. I've been practicing with an inexpensive tint I found on amazon. Its called Rockrose. I'm just about ready to make some cards to pass around to get clientele. I've been debating if I should start with Puremax cuz its a lot cheaper or Geoshield cuz of the great quality I've heard of. I'll probably go with Geoshield so I can make it easy on myself and make sure I do great quality work for my customers. Are you already doing doing jobs for customers? If so, did you stop using the Puremax and now only use Geoshield?

      Ghosting week require a smoother, more even and spread out shrink. Look at my old "ryk shrink" using 2 heart guns with an over/under setup. That would be my suggestion.

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Hey all, I am not a pro tinter but more or less just someone who likes to experiment / DIY. Wanted to ask if there was anyone here who has used the Geoshield "Geo" line for automotive purposes? I really like the color, but I get really bad ghosting for anything that requires decent shrinking. The film is specced as architectural, but has a PS adhesive so some use it in auto applications. I sent an email to see if that is the reason why it's for flat glass .. lol This is a sputtered TiN film and has a beautiful color imho. This reminds me of Huper Optik, and not quite sure but I think Johnson had a line called "InsulatIR" that I could never get my hands on to try. The film has a slightly purplish reflection (TiN I guess), when put on green auto glass, filters out and looks super neutral. ❤️ I've had it on my auto for a while but my rear window is a mess when the sun hits it (ghosting) and was curious if this is just not suitable for auto Any info would be appreciated. Skill issue, ie: shrink with lower heat? lol Thanks.

      chameleon window tint good quality

      If you don't mind trying to source some, there is a large Japanese manufacturer that makes a bunch of dichroic - looking films. It might be your style, but it would be hard to get your hands on some. https://www.braintec.co.jp/filmlab/ I believe some of the films do have decent heat-rejection, but because of the nature of the films, looking through them can be really funky. They are well-known in Japan and would likely be of decent quality. Also, very expensive. Depending on where you are, shipping would also be $$$.

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      I feel the difference in quality with geoshield. Not only is it easier to peel the liner off but shrinking feels better and I think the material feels slightly thicker(helps with not creasing) Only downside that the price noticeably different. For mainly everything Its atleast another 100 on top of for example stuff from tints Lexen. I haven’t tried solarfree either.

      At least twice, yes. Although since we don't know what vehicle it is you're planning to tint, that was a bit presumptuous of me.
