No damage , just creeps you out . If you've ever been icefishing, it feels the same when there's a pressure crack in the lake, can be real loud and the ground shakes

ice fishing... yeah I used to get stuck going with my dad when I was a kid... nothing sounds more brilliant to me than sitting around a little hole on a frozen lake in the freezing cold trying to catch a fish...   I would always take a shovel, hockey stick, and broom, and hopefully a friend..

If that's how you're icefishing, you're right ...that's not a brilliant way to fish at all.

The way we icefish usually involves having your ice hut warmer than your house so that you are in a T-shirt, a bottle of your favorite beverage, a good friend or family ,rocking tunes or movie and watching the fish being pulled from line to fish fry with lots of food around.

A bunch of us go out, next time we do, I'll take some pictures to show you how it's done in style

okay do that!    I mean where I live I see the little ice "shanny" (idk if that's spelled correctly) out on the lake, That does sound like an event that would be fun, infact more fun that my experience!

You have been on the news downunder big time and at the other end of the scale, we have had record temperatures of 50c + in central OZ.

 

Like one dude cooking an egg on a shovel by means of the sun's heat only and another doing the same on a pathway.
