"smart film" has anyone used it?

Recommended Posts

Electrochromic is different from "Smart Films" which are PDLC films. The technology is not new but apparently the lamination process is very expensive, hence the high cost. It is not easy to sell, you have to have high end clients with the budget to do it.

The film we use has a three year warranty. Relatively easy to install. We had to bullshit our way into getting the first job with it, as no one wants a rookie to install such an expensive job :D

A lot of users here have contacted us about Smart Film. We have brought on another supplier which has brought the cost way down. "Way down" is a relative term as the product is still expensive compared to other options but our new 50v version is much more affordable and at 50 volts can be installed in most areas without an electrician.

There is a one year warranty.

I can't discuss pricing here but you can PM or email at info@floridawindowfilms.com with questions

Thanks!
