Self healing properties

SB - which ones are preferred in your experience?

It's very negligible since the last year+ or so that most films have similar self healing properties.

We hear that it's more important to have staining protection more so than self healing...as we carry several brands and all self heal to some extent.

From an installers point of view. Self healing is more important. I remember the days of accidentally squeegee scratching a full hood Ventureshield and having to redo it. Those days are gone.

I think having all the features from a consumer stand point are important. Aswe know, a consumer can see a stain more so than a scratch in some cases. The challege is having light scratches heal on there own versus installers getting a call from a dealer stating..."can you come fix this scratch" some scratches will not be recoverable as the top coat has a thin layer of self healing technology...once pierced, self healing is terminated. If I have a stain and the consumer can wash out or remove....the call doesn't come to us or the dealership.

Self-healing is a game changer for paint protection film that adds another great reason to invest in the film. Let's face it, no one really wants to spend $500+ on paint protection film because it's hard for people to see the value in it. With self-healing qualities, PPF becomes much more attractive as it has a unique feature that consumers think is cool and is something they can brag about. If you tell a friend you have a clear layer of film on your car that protects against scratches etc, it sounds cool. However, if you say you have SELF-HEALING clear layer of film on your car that protects against scratches etc, it sounds much cooler, more futuristic and will encourage others to look into it.
