just got comp back now I get on net now got some virus keep getting shut down I called the tech they said they forgot to update windows and have to take back yea. so I

A good thing to do once you get your computer back is download windows XP SP2 (assuming you're runing windows XP). Then, whenever you reinstall windows--you can install most critical updates via SP2. There is also an option to apply the SP2 update on a new windows XP disc, but I wont get into that here.
