What front windshield protection to get?

I am seeking your guys expert opinion on protecting my windshield. I am getting my front windshield tinted and before I do I am getting the windshield replaced because I have annoying crack that has been fixed already but is still unsightly. I have seen products out there from aquapel and other glass sealants to clearplex film that is like a clear bra for your windshield. I plan on tracking the car maybe one or two times a year.

I drive alot,  aquapel on the outside is nice.  should last 6 months to a year.  cheap to buy online.  i put 50% ceramic on the sheild for the heat and UV protection.  film  for the exterior never tried it.  glass gets pitted over the years, I imagine any exterior film will get destroyed quick if you drive alot.  cant be as hard and scratch resistant as glass

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..
