Knowing what to charge for a job...

I am waiting on a tint school in June before we officially open for business. Even so, I have been offered several jobs in town, one being our new police station. They want the windows of the new station to be tinted. These are simple rectangular windows.... not funny angles or anything. How do I know what to price my jobs at?

 

I just did a residential job and did several windows, and will still have more to complete next week. I charged $1200 for two large (62" by 90") rectangular windows with arched tops, a smaller arched window, two standard windows, two small windows, and the door framed windows. I feel like I gave them an excellent price.

 

How do I know how to price my jobs fair for the customer and myself?

Always calculate costs for each project in time ,material .travel ,lodging, any non standard access equipment rental (lifts, ladder, swingstage, scaffold etc)

 

Figure out your margin you want to acheive.
