Shaving techniques what's best?

What are your favorite shaving tools for nice edges??

I just usually heat it up hot let it dry then I use a brand new blade to shave the edge, I don't have good luck with the filer

Do you go through alot of blades

I always have to have a fresh new blade, one olfa for me will do 2 or 3 windows

I call it filing the edge. A jeweler file it's my choice of tool. The best trick is to leave very little hanging over the edge when applying the film to the window. If you're a real tinter and hand cut your own patterns, it will be very little file.  I still have a few customers that request this and pay extra for it. My standered gap on the edge is always less than 1/16 of an inch.

1/16 inch regular cut or filed ???

My normal gaps are less than 1/16 of an inch.  cut pattern like normal but leave it long on the bottom and just raise it up a bit, up and back actually.
