Oracal 8300

Recommended Posts

My pologies. I've tinted a few tail lights for people using Oracal 8300, but they always brought their own kits. I've been asked to do a pair at least once a week lately. Customer likes a pair I tinted. Sent her a photo. I think it's the medium or light gray. Would one of you be able to identify?

Ok. Installed another set, had to be the hardest damn tail lights, of course, but this time around it seemed like if i would just breathe on them they would scratch. I used a bit of polish after and they looked fine.

I used a triedge plus at first, one with squeegee. Then I put teflon tape, still scratched, and even a card wrapped with a soft chamois.

Didn't notice this problem before? Pressing too hard maybe?IMG_20171005_215957.jpg.de4993a09feb3eb1af838a0c6229838b.jpg

I use a felt block squeege or just fingers and maybe a glove with heatgun

I have not really done very many either but that stuff shrinks better than tint

I needed more practice and this is dark grey for buddys mostly drag car(outlaw street)with open 2in headers and 4in holes coming out in front of the front tires and a big supercharger(cops will hear that from 5miles away)

Going to redoo the headlights and grind the tabs off for headlight aligning but had to see if it would shrink around them things? LoL covered the ford emblem also and one headlight was yellow

I agree for regular rides but he isnt going too far on the street with this and one of the lens had a ugly yellow look for whatever reason that didnt buff out
