  1. we shrink film differently than most installer...we don't even put direct heat on the film just the edge....I can teach you this technique in 2 days. It will take you months to years to learn to shrink back glass on different vehicles using the traditional method. No school will teach you this method....we install so much 3M Crystalline that we invented this method....and no it is not a ballon method....we used this method to shrink back glass on a VW Golf in less than 5min....same with BMW X5...all suv with rear spoiler are cake using this method....

Look at our instagram page @midtownmotortrends

Sure sounds like the baloon method ... Any videos ?

  2.

    Global qdp

did the hues match from the inside looking out?  Is that a ceramic tint?

No, the QDP is not ceramic but they to make a QDPC which has a layer of ceramic material added to the tried and true QDP film..Same coloring superior performance :thumb

IMO from the inside looking out the back factory glass looks like it has a bit of blue too it.

We have tried probably 50 different films from cheap cheap cheap to super expensive and have yet to find anything close for color match from the inside looking out.  There just isn't anything available. :twocents

  3. Good info to have.  Ceramic seems to be a nice option if you are willing to spend the money and maybe your lifestyle fits the heat resistance whatever?  But the  more I read, there are a lot of nice films out there, ie carbon, hybrid, etc that will be more than sufficient for most people for half the price.

You obviously haven't experienced driving around with a nice ceramic film on your windows during a sunny day.....    It is well worth the $$ :thumb

  4. Interesting Shade King... If you were ordering such why would you post different on here 2 years ago ?? Everyone makes mistakes... and I can see getting CB and TB turned around in your head ...

Would like to see more proof that it is what you say it is tho.... :twocents

Quite simple, as I has issues with other rear screens recently, I pulled the film off my car to have a closer inspection. Had no complaints otherwise.

Well.... I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that is another product than the Classic Black/QDP .... I know a lot of folks have hung their hats on that product and are probably all cringing at the thought of having to warranty such.... :thumb
