We used teflon tape on this monstrosity to help lessen wear on the tool. Worked fine but every user found the tool awkward and the stainless bent too much for comfort on security film installs.

No we didn't macguyver it we bought it that way.

That what looks like a glass rack on wheels  just trying to hide in the left of this pic.

We run similar ones that have are A frame type on solid wheels.

20 years ago one of the guys that taught me a few tricks said.

 For the past week or so we were in these offices installing printed white on clear 2nd surface and printed D/C "maps" on the 1st surface on each of the meeting rooms among other interesting things at this site.Get to those pics later.

Someone got the bright idea to use dry erase markers on the film   Tomorrow I get to do a walk around the 3 floors with the GC and the Client. They now want to flip the glass and their graphics to the outside on many of the meeting rooms so they can continue to scribble on the what will be naked 2nd surface. Many of the rooms have  the version of the stripes with void text which would then be backwards and need reprinted.

I love doing the same project twice + removal when the client has a bottomless wallet and changes their mind (often) :money

You could always install a clear dry eraser film over the existing film, that is if the printed film is not to raised.

 

We are presenting that option too. They are ok with what ever the costs are as long as it works.

I thought so too. They are going to paint all that chit flat black and want to see all the duct work. I tried to convince them to do something different......no go.

I think he (Stan) uses the " small " bottle of 'Slime per gallon jug of distilled water and wants to bump up to the gallon of 'Slime to cap full of water. I may have mis read.
