Got a question. When you're doing 2 front doors only, how much extra do you charge to do the 2 front quarter windows? We originally were just throwing on $20 bucks to the total. Now we are charging 50% of what our 2 front window price...so say $150 if the 2 doors only are $100. Don't have to give dollar amounts, just looking for a percentage.
We have just a 4 door car set price.
Some are quick, some are longer.

I've been looking around to buy a rear glass so we can shrink on it versus the actual vehicle. However, it has been very hard to get a hold of one. Apparently there are no aftermarket models, so getting one through a glass company has been impossible. Safelite charges $790 for the glass installed but won't let us just pick up the glass even if we pay the full price. Lastly, we tried the local Tesla dealer and their parts department is basically a voicemail system and seems not to call you back...been a week with no calls. There is one on eBay for like $1200 shipped that was pulled from a car, but I would rather have a new one plus Tesla model 3 owners state the glass is $450 from Tesla. Anyone out there got the hookup? LOL @Midtown Houston
Are you doing tinting the whole thing?

About $300 to strip a 4 door carAre you having failed rear windows coming back under warranty? I ask because you seemed concerned about it and can only see being concerned about it in that case. If they are not your customers, then don't really see the problem. Raise your removal price extremely high and charge that full price even just for the rear window. Then most of the customers won't have you do it, but when they do you will be paid. Years ago we were charging $50 for full removal and was getting too many. Now we charge $150 for full or rear window only and rarely get them. We will most likely go up to $200 by March to eliminate the rest.

Let's say the auto tint industry is making me lose the love.Another great post by you f1

Our industry is plauged by the dreaded strip and retint the back glass. The film fails in time. The work required to do it and the customers willing to pay for it is a thorn in our side. Warranty work is still a pain for all parties
Could you imagine just literally peeling it off and reapplying when it turns?
Won't have adhesive failures.

Static cling film for rear glass only.
Am i crazy?
It wont work for rollups

Especially when ATR blocks up to 61% TSER while CTX is up to 60%...hard to upsell someone when it has a lower number.
I say it has metal in it.
I do alot of cars with Comfort and a piece of Pinnacle on the back for no extra charge.
They start to eyeball the dyed film when ceramic is out of the budget.

Can we get a follow up response to this thread tho?
Got alot going on in my life. Business is short handed right now.

The reason for this thread is when I'm selling film they see a 50 and 57 and think......$100 more for 7% more heat rejection?
Then I tell them that's not how you compare percentages.
"Blank face" huh?

The math is as such:
57-50=7 the difference is then divided by the base number 50
7/50=.14
.14=14%Why is 57 not the base #?

If your looking at it from a mathematical perspective the 57% Film is 14% better.
Now with that in mind what is the math to get that #?
How does it roll off your tongue when explaining it to someone?
Do you use "percentage points"?
