  1. Hey man, why all the hate? The FG films aren’t too bad, some of them at least.
  2. To my knowledge the only way to reduce reflectivity on glass is to angle it.
  3. Torch was no bueno for me, found out I’m too easily distracted to be wielding one of those around a car and plastic.
  4. ....and 14 is the average. That means some days he does more. A man of your caliber should definitely be on your own. That dealership is holding you back.
  5. That’s a toughy, could have been from trimming the wild edges before shrinking and the final cut. Also, may want to try that wash again. Them winders is still dirty.
  6. Did many things in the construction world before tinting....unfortunately roofing was one of them
  7. I mostly use the center-pull towels I get from a commercial wholesale supplier. They fit nicely in a bucket so it’s easy to hook on the top of a ladder and no more soggy rolls.
  8. You’d probably get the top layer off easy with a steamer. Possible damage to seals if the glass got hot enough or it could fudge up the paint on the frame if water based latex is used. Have used it on commercial jobs before but it was aluminum frames, single pane tempered and PS film.
  9. So I finally broke down a got a plotter, albeit a cheap one. Expected it would give me some issues along the way but figured I’d at least get a piece or two cut before that happened. I bought this off someone local and the best I could tell it had never been used or even taken out of the box. But it definitely has an issue with the carriage, not sure if this is indicative of the cheapness or it was mishandled somewhere along the way. There is a grinding and vibration coming from the carriage whenever it tries to track left or right but it usually won’t move. Sometimes it does but it will go the opposite direction then what I’m telling it. If I place my finger on the side it will usually track smoothly with just the slightest pressure. Anyone seen a similar issue? Can’t really find anything directly related to this....
