We often tell our customers that they shouldn't recommend to their customer using MEK to clean the windows. 

I hope you all realize that was a joke  

The only thing the MEK test does is show how a film is colorized. The film on the far right, is most likely a Korean film. They do not have the technology to deep dye a film (which is still the proven best way to colorize a film for longevity) therefore they input the color in the lamination adhesive during lamination. This test merely shows the dying technique used to impart color into the film. 

They failed to mention SolarFX will last longer then theirs!!

Yeah so i was booted from the WFR/Tintclub group this morning because of my comments on the post with that image, it's my second time being booted from the WFR/Tintclub group. Not for cursing or being nasty, but for saying Carbon is just the name and not the composition. WFR group on FB is basically an every day commercial for Ralph's film Tintclub (when you have a ton of Flexfilm warranty complaints how do you get out of honoring warranties on film failures? start a new film company with no warranties!). They were going on about the "Carbon" in the name like it's some sort of fraud, well i'm pretty sure Madicos Black Pearl isn't made from Pearls and the Onyx isn't made from.. well anyway it got a little tiring watching all the Tintclub ass kissing posts. They may as well change the group name to Tintclub. I've lost respect for Rick, he played dumb like Ralph does to my comments when they know exactly what i'm talking about. I'm just going to stay here on Tintdude.

Hope this section is ok for my question, but has anyone ever installed Chrome window tint? If so, where did you get it from and does it apply harder than the other stuff?
 
I currently have a customer who wants this particular film for a vehicle of him.
 
I made him aware that it was illegal to have installed on a vehicle that was going to be driven on the roads.  I'm not sure what his use with it is but I told him I will search around for him.
 
Currently I carry Solar FX window film but I am not sure where to search for the chrome film at. 
 
Everything I find brings me back to ebay and I would like to apply a decent film on the windows if possible.

I have a Metallica lullaby version for my kids at bed time. Wonder if that would make you work slower

I didn't cut patterns, just rough "squares." The years of paint and layout of the dividers made each pane different enough to cut each side on the glass. Lots of flushing and picking crap out of the film
 
As far as pricing....material(waste included), time and the "pain" charge. No matter how high I price these, it never feels like enough!

Ended the day finally helping another installer finish up a window pane job, did 24 with Suntek ULVDS 40.  

solarfx carbonfx 20 upfront 5% brow stock tint rears 5 % over rear window

Had this fun sunroom/office to do with no a/c so it was about 90* in there. 22 panes in each round top above the doors.....plus soft leading and 100 yrs worth of paint/dirt. Good way to test your patience every so often. 
 
May get called back for the front door, which is much more ornate. Maybe they'll change their minds
