How do you deal with a customer that complains they're not happy with a silver dot matrix?
Its something, as we all know that sometimes can't be helped on certain cars.
So, if there's nothing wrong with the tint (apart from the silver dot matrix) and the car is prone to a silver dot matrix. Who's to blame (if anyone) and how to you deal with that customer?
Thanks 👍🏻

I'll stick to my prices as I believe I offer a great service. My work (in my opinion) is high quality.
Just going through a bad week for it I think. Also, the customers that think I'm too expensive are usually the Facebook quotes, not by the ones that call from finding my site on google.

Just curious if anyone else has this 'issue'...
Every now and then I'll have a few days to a week where all I'll get asked on pretty much every quote I give is 'what's the cheapest you can tint my car for' or 'can you knock the price down, that's high'. Our jobs hard enough as it is, don't want to feel like I paid for all my training and rent on my unit to just do a 'cheap' job!

No I can't do that car I'm on vacation!
I've used that one a few times 😆

I always get the nasty quotes through in winter - MK5 golfs or beetles etc 👎🏻

I tint part time - I work in a shop for minimum wage 9-2, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I find most of my tint work revolves around the weekend so I usually end up with 4-6 cars in over Saturday to Monday.
Works great for me, the only set back is not being able to answer the phone on the days I'm at the minimum wage job. It covers my personal bills though so it's for piece of mind.
Reslly enjoying tinting though, need to take the leap into full time really.

Had a few of these in for a tint in the past but I can't remember if a 24' roll will fill the rear screen??!! If someone could let me know 👍🏻

I hate when you get a crease and have to distract them while you work in it secretly haha
That's so funny! I've done this 😆

This Guy Rick on bottom is real good nice guy he even called me..to give me tips...
The last video is the reason I'm now only getting 1-3 tiny specs of dust per drop glass. Great tutorial!

For me it was around 80 - 100 cars to be quite comfortable. Obviously it's different for everyone. 3 years into this job and there are still cars I dread!

Will do mate, luckily here in U.K. We don't tint front windows ????????
-
Tuck seals on front doors, and be ready for dots on back window.... The convertibles and sedans are easier. I don't use steel wool, not saying it doesn't work. And I typically have a few peanuts on the bottom sides of that window. Let us know how that back glass went.

Is it a coupe or 4 door?
Coupe ????????

Thanks guys, I'll let you know how it goes ????????

I have one of these in on Saturday and I'm a little worried I'll have the same issue as I had with the last BMW I tinted (7 series). I had around 20 peanuts/smilies on the 7 series no matter what I did. Does anyone know if the 3 series is prone to this? I'm aware I can use steel wool to help this problem but still a little anxious.
Thanks ????

Hi guys, never tinted one of these before.
just seeing if there’s anything I need to be aware of before booking in or if this is a straight forward job?
Thanks in advance.
