wow..thanks for the info guys..I'm def gonna get me some olfa stainless steel blades and trow these cheap azz carbon ones away ..for a min I said to myself wtf did I loose my cutting skills

yea I do snip it..the red dot knife has the snap off thing..I do press a little hard but still..maybe is because is a carbon blade??

Carbon blades are typically used with the vinyl graphics and good carbon blades are actually sharper than stainless steel. Problem is they are sharp enough to scratch the glass with very little effort. If your cutting on glass ditch the carbon ASAP and pick up some stainless steel blades.

yes differing degrees of sharpness exist.

I would consider metal hardness the more the culpret for the scratching issue as well
