QUESTION REGARDING TINT PRODUCTS?

Hi all,

I am going to be getting some windows tinted for my house to mitigate the glare of the sun.  One installer recommended Suntek Infinity DS Bronze Series IDS20 Bronze.  Their literature stated the glare reduction is 80%.  I have Pella Windows and reside in Chicago where temps are now 5 degrees but in the summer get up to 98 (Don't know if that makes a difference for tinting).  I am solely concerned with reducing glare and not concerned with keeping heat out.

Two questions I have are:

1. Is this a good product and the product that is best recommended to keep the glare out, or is this considered a cheap product?

2.  If I am having transoms tinted but the windows below the transoms not tinted, will it be very noticeable and look strange?

Thank you.

Dave

VISTA Celeste has 80% glare rejection 74% heat rejection 99.9% UV A and UV B rejection. 18% VLT and safe for double pane glass. The color is a grey/blue, and is less noticeable compared to untinted windows than bronze.
