Hey Guys

please help ! we are looking for a good automotive safety film,preferably 8mil, we have emailed all the bigboys ie :bekaert , llumar , madeco etc and not one response, not even an email saying no. can anyone help us? :beach ps how are fti films?

Where did You from? I am in Europe....

I have 8 mil, 2 ply....Easy shrinking and can be installed on car...

Why BigBoys say NO?

sorry im in south africa . its not that they said no its that they did not even respond ,if they at least responded even with a no I would understand but no reply no response , nothing. we have emailed from three of our fitment centres and still nothing. been doing so for 2 months.

Cape Town? I just send some our sample books there. Also I have friend in Egypt who can help You, he is a little bit closer to You :DD

How much film do You need? I don't see any problem for me or my friend to help You :beach

btw lulu makes safty film in 50% and 35% for auto applications

PS4 is the last #s on the line I dont know the mil :beach

Thanks Guys for the input. who is lulu by the way? the dealers here in south africa are very brand concious as well, they want the best backup service as well as best price.{ of course} .has anyone used glassgard .how do they compare with the others out there. :lol

tintdude.com tries to stay neutral amongst film manufacturers. I understand yours was a "who makes it" question as opposed to a "who's is the best" question, but you will see that most tintdude.com members avoid using the brand name itself out of habit.

sorry , new to the forums guys , we contacted lulu but that was around 1 year ago and were told to contact a big automotive glass supplier here for the film as they have sole rights , but they wont supply that film to us below end user price . we would like 8mil anyway but no response on that request...

      Heads up door strikers kia sportage

      Morning all. Had a heap of these come back with tint scratched off neqr mirror cover. Done 4 this week. Door striker just clears glass when new. If wind pulls the door it bends striker just enough to hit the glass when door is closed and window rolled down. Just a heads up incase you cop warranty to have a look at this befor retinting.

      Tinting large glass with overhang

      I've been looking at tinting my second floor windows/sliding doors (9 floor to ceiling low-e dual pane glass totaling ~400sqft) to combat heat and reduce a little glare. The space is an open loft concept so the stairs lead directly to the space. And from the first floor, leading up to the stairs is a very long hallway that I've discovered to act like a wind tunnel so I think a good portion of the heat is coming from the first floor raising up. The glass panels are situated as such: 6 of these panels are south facing with overhangs about 1/2 the glass' height. 2 panels are east facing without overhang 1 panel is west facing without overhang. I've been considering Vista's VS50 or Solar Gard's Hilite 55/70 (space is used as my wife's office and she is against going below 50% tint and anything reflective) but beginning to wonder with the overhang, will I benefit much from tint as the majority of the glass is in indirect sun? During the summer heat, I'm seeing direct sunlight through the glass as such: 2 east panels get direct full sun during the morning 6 south panels get no direct sun as it is covered by the overhang. 1-2 panel start to get partial direct sun starting mid afternoon 1 west panel gets direct full sun starting mid afternoon With the HVAC running, we're seeing about 80-85 degree temperatures inside. Trying to gauge if I'll see any improvements and if there'll be any ROI from tinting.
