new "storm safe " windows

starting to see more of these types of laminated glass residential windows here along the midatlantic coast and was wondering if they have created problems for any one like increased thermal stress cracking, film.mfg warranty issues ( as in won't cover it ) in other areas of the window film world.

most of the major window players have them now and are becoming code required in coastal areas like they have been in fla and the gulf coast for a while now. most of the ones I see are andersen brand with lami on the inside. although I did do some last week in maryland and it was the outside pane that was lami.

OH duh! the ones I have run into so far were plate glass / lami sandwich types

the ones ones I run into are skylights. tempered outside laminated inside. fire code to protect firefighters from falling glass.
