did you watch the video? There is a huge differance in the file and the exacto #11 blade. Much smoother edge! film is cut at the same angle as the bevel on the window---------- no peeling, no gap- smooth and right to the edge. The file leaves a rough edge and takes small bits of glass off

I always just slide it as close to the top as I can. When you try to file the lighter color films it seems like they like to tear. Throw the file in the garbage. Just stick to what works.

yep, I concur Mr. LB. the knife has 3 angles that must be set right for the cut I am talking about................. side note: We use torches in my shop but mainly to heat up the glass
