WOW.....After all this time

Recommended Posts

I mean really, imagine being a peace officer, pulling over someone with the window rolled up, not knowing who it is because the windows are so dark, to them its dangerous, cause they dont know if they're being pointed it at with a .45 magnum :dunno

They should not approach the car if the cant see inside, call on the PA and have them roll the window down or open the door and exit the car first! :dunno

you can do that without tinted windows too and still hide the gun. just keep it where he cant see it.

Thats why I roll my windows down and put my hands at 10 and 2 until the officer has reached the vehicle and had a chance to see inside. This should be standard protocol for anyone whether the windows are tinted or not :lol

:lol2 rule number 1 to getting pulled over... make the cop feel comfortable. this goes for fishbowl cars, cars with 5%, and grocery getter vans.

not a bad idea... I wish law enforcement would think about ways to protect themselves :beer asking a "suspicious" person to get out of the car would protect a cop waaaaay more than having a "no tint" law. :dunno

Okay so maybe I am unclear...But did you get your ticket for the rear window? or are the sides illegal.....Cause from what I understand and the way the txdps law reads the back window can have any darkness on it as long as the vehicle is equipped with an outside mirror on each side of the vehicle that reflects to the vehicle operator a view of the highway for a distance of at least 200 feet from the rear. And they dont state that the rear window can have colored or reflective films...From what I read the front visor strip cant be red blue or amber...So I dont see a problem with having silver on the rear glass...Only two that are regulated are the front two windows...

this has been my understanding for quite sometime. So that being the case just redo the front two with 35 since is a suv...and badda bing your legal again...

That wouldn't generate any revenue, nor would it help them meet thier ticket quotas, and it might involve EFFORT!!! :poop
