Need a tip...

Just did a shuttle bus today with flat, simple windows. However. No seals to trim and used a 5 way tool to get as close to edge as possible. Light gaps..... Not bad, but wondering if there is anyting I can use besides vinyl to cover it up. Is there a simple weather stripping that is subtle that I can wrap around the glass just to cover up these gaps? I hade to leave small ones in order to channel water. Any advice? thanks :beer

Try some 1/4 inch black pinstriping. Also next time put your blade between the window edge and hard card NOT on the outside of the hard card that way you wont leave a gap. I recently tinted my boat windows and that is what I did...no gaps.

I have done similar buses before and I don't think I had that much gap....just used a knife with no card.

I would suggest some black latex caulking if you want to "hide" them....

how are those windows in there, hard plastic seals :beer

if so, and if your confident enough to do it, lay a bead of black silicone around those frames. :beer

I had no room whatsoever to cut. The windows are recessed inside the frame and its hard, plastic. No way to trim it. I could try the black silicone. I didn't know if anyone has used residential weatherstipping since it will sit inside those window frames. Thanks

silicone is more messy.....if you can find a black latex it will be cleaner.

I did a 77 Ford Bronco and used silicone on the edges of it....what a mess. I used a lil chisler to drag it to a harder line edge...but that crap is a mess. With a latex you can use water to clean up....
