carbon 18% matches the best on GM vehicals. HP 15% matches best on the rest. The best overall match on all vehicals is solar guard's HPC 13% and they said the delamination problem is resolved.

hp for anything foreign other than the high mirrored stuff. Like infinity suv's early lexus rxs.

anything domestic. go car bone, its slightly bronze like the factory attempt at tint.

from reading this thread I might have to try the carbon - I was sent a sample of it a few months ago but I was with sungard at the time and love it so I didnt see the reason to switch. But now that Sungard is out I have been juggling between Suntek's Carbon or LLumar's atr charcoal. It sounds here like I will get better bang for my buck useing carbon.

I recently tried out the SUNTEK HP for AUTO yesterday and really like it. It feels and looks like ATR. and its even packaged the same. NICE FILM. :gasp:beer

I personally like the HP better than the carbon

I'm almost opted to say I like the suntek HP better then ATR CH :thumb :thumb

Regardless both are real nice, easy to work with and bottom line, the Suntek is cheaper. But they still p'sed me off with the price thing I mentioned earlier. But I may consider trying again now that I've actually got to try their film. Had it for over 6 months sitting. It was nice to try it out on a new personal ride...

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      All Right cool. I've been practicing with an inexpensive tint I found on amazon. Its called Rockrose. I'm just about ready to make some cards to pass around to get clientele. I've been debating if I should start with Puremax cuz its a lot cheaper or Geoshield cuz of the great quality I've heard of. I'll probably go with Geoshield so I can make it easy on myself and make sure I do great quality work for my customers. Are you already doing doing jobs for customers? If so, did you stop using the Puremax and now only use Geoshield?

      Ghosting week require a smoother, more even and spread out shrink. Look at my old "ryk shrink" using 2 heart guns with an over/under setup. That would be my suggestion.

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Hey all, I am not a pro tinter but more or less just someone who likes to experiment / DIY. Wanted to ask if there was anyone here who has used the Geoshield "Geo" line for automotive purposes? I really like the color, but I get really bad ghosting for anything that requires decent shrinking. The film is specced as architectural, but has a PS adhesive so some use it in auto applications. I sent an email to see if that is the reason why it's for flat glass .. lol This is a sputtered TiN film and has a beautiful color imho. This reminds me of Huper Optik, and not quite sure but I think Johnson had a line called "InsulatIR" that I could never get my hands on to try. The film has a slightly purplish reflection (TiN I guess), when put on green auto glass, filters out and looks super neutral. ❤️ I've had it on my auto for a while but my rear window is a mess when the sun hits it (ghosting) and was curious if this is just not suitable for auto Any info would be appreciated. Skill issue, ie: shrink with lower heat? lol Thanks.

      chameleon window tint good quality

      If you don't mind trying to source some, there is a large Japanese manufacturer that makes a bunch of dichroic - looking films. It might be your style, but it would be hard to get your hands on some. https://www.braintec.co.jp/filmlab/ I believe some of the films do have decent heat-rejection, but because of the nature of the films, looking through them can be really funky. They are well-known in Japan and would likely be of decent quality. Also, very expensive. Depending on where you are, shipping would also be $$$.

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      I feel the difference in quality with geoshield. Not only is it easier to peel the liner off but shrinking feels better and I think the material feels slightly thicker(helps with not creasing) Only downside that the price noticeably different. For mainly everything Its atleast another 100 on top of for example stuff from tints Lexen. I haven’t tried solarfree either.

      At least twice, yes. Although since we don't know what vehicle it is you're planning to tint, that was a bit presumptuous of me.
