safety tip for ladder work

Recommended Posts

Ive stood on the top rung on an extension a hand full of times, but I always had a spotter on the bottom with their feet on the base of the ladder. From the looks of it, you could have used a 2x4 and slid it under the seat brackets to keep the ladder from sliding out.

I agree with others here when they say it is too dangerous doing work that way. The only time I have done it is when I have to do a spiral staircase that the giant won't reach. Charge a little more and get a lift. There will come a time when something bad will happen.

On a lighter note, that's a great picture, I would vote it pic of the week.
