anchor side to side a little more than half way up the window. wet shrink will basically turn into soap method because the film is going to lift in the middle. go nice and slow and stretch.

not sure what Camaro you are speaking of Beeline, but all the 91ish ones I have ever had my hands on will lay down almost completely with just a wet lay on the outside. There might be 4 fingers at the top that will be 3/4" wide and 1/2" tall at the MOST.

If you are speaking of the next gen with the dove tail then it is different, but that is not the topic of this thread...

that back glass doesnt even require shrinking to apply in one pc. the bottom corners may try to lift early in the install but that window can be tinted without heat, just a little patience.

:thumb bingo, 15 min back glass no shrinking. stretch the bottom corners in first and the rest is cake

I will give the wet shrink a try and see how that goes. I did not try last night like I thought I would. I will let you know what I have done right or not done right. Hopefully with the insight I have received so far that all will go well.

Thank you much!!!

Well I gave wet shrinking a try last evening (twice). The first went I will say OK. seemed to do well. My problem was the film was not wanting to stick once applying. It did not smooth out well and I creased a couple of spots down by each lower corner. Overall, it looked like a hackshop did it. So I pulled it off. My second attempt I tried moving the film around before shrinking and the sides seemed like they were about right without shrinking but instead of a few fingers here at there in the middle there was a huge pocket. Well I tried to make this pocket into fingers and shrink but did not have any good luck with that at all. I will be very glad once I get this window figured out. It feels like my very first window ever. Kicking my butt right now. Thank you for the helpful replies. If there is any more insight any of you can think of let me know. Otherwise, it seems like I just need to get film on the glass and work it out. I will say this, my customer is very pleased with the old film off. She can now see out all of her windows. Thankfully is very patient with me on this learning process.

That was my first car, start to finish with no help. I snuck it while Marco was at a dealer to see if I could do it :eyebrows so I don't remember much of how I did it but I know it took a lot of stretching and I did shrink it dry then wet checked.

hmmm good pix. looks like it may have defrost lines on the one you did. I wonder since mine doesn't if it means it is aftermarket. In either case I will get it figured out but I am not used to a back glass taking more than one attempt anymore. However, I haven't taken on anything I didn't feel comfortable doing. I will get it, especially with the help from all of the good folks here. I dont know if I will have a shot at it again tonight or not but hopefully. I can always listen to the debates instead of watching them if I do get to try again.

OK I finally had another chance at it tonight. Halloween of all nights and I tried twice. Kicked me in the butt again. I even tried my 2nd attempt tonite with no heat. It was my closest at almost getting the film on the vehicle. Wish I had a beer tonight. I think this is one window I will never forget. If I have to use a whole roll of film. Heck, I am 4 pulls in already. Thank goodness this is someone who is patient with me. Sorry just venting over a window that one day I will look back and laugh at. Any other advice that I may try????

Thanks all
