Small cc riders

What is your take on the new law passed on 2/10/2009 that new/old dirt bikes intended for the use of small riders(kids) cannot be purchased anymore?

Bunch of crap. A lot of the best riders nowadays started riding when they were really young. Same as figure skaters or gymnasts. What are we gonna prohibit the sale of leotards?

I think it'll mean more kids riding larger machines. I'm bad about that anyway though. my 6 and 11 years olds both ride a can-am rally 200 atv.

have a friend that is head manager for 3 powersports dealers, they aint selling schitt.

They are barely getting by on parts sales and service. This will only hurts new vehicle sales,

and drive up the price for used machines. Some of the smaller bikes have remote controls and

learning keys to help a small novice rider get experienced. I want my six year old riding a quad

soon.

And the coolest thing I have seen off road wise, Team Arizona has track at there gilbert, az

school to teach young kids off road bikes and quads . When we took a break from the street course ,

we would watch kids follow the instructor on the dirt course. Around 200$ for the class (2005 dollars)

those alarm/remote systems on the newer ones are really cool. it's a nice feature for parents when out camping or just riding. this law is BS.

Thats bs. I ride and I've rode since I was 5 or 6. What else are they going to do next?

I dont get the reasoning of it. read about it weeks ago on other forums and I always ask why.
