Tint Wizards Film Star

Recommended Posts

we bought a film star off a board member in 2002.

When it works , it works great. You cant just yank the film off the core, go slow on the pulls and the

cutting pedal , and it works great. Pull too fast and the belt slips, slam the cutter pedal and the film

jams up. Pull up on the pedal, and the pulley lines come off track'

At its peak, 1 installer hung more film than 2 others in the same time frame.

If you have a lot of windows of the same size, this machine shines.

This is what I use. 74" x 108" tempered.

Between this table and the 2 Little Giants with telescopic plank, wall stand off and work platforms, for flat glass, I couldn't have spent money any more wisely.

edit: just noticed, you can see the LG plank beside the table. BTW, the table is on casters, a MUST!!!!! sorry for the mess. My garage is not normally that messy!!!

I did a job last week it was 1400sf and some change. I took the film handler and used it for the job and in my estimation it takes alot longer to use the handler then cutting out of the box with the aluminum channel. Especially when the peices of film are longer then the ladder and then you have to roll them backwwards or take them off of the handler and flip em. I will only use the handler on large jobs that I will be there for a week or longer but for everyday stuff just cut outta the box or precut the day before.

As an old hand at tinting, I agree with you V!

Out of the box is faster with less stuff ups and more ideal for anything longer than your ladder or wall mounted drop.
