Best bang for your buck on a heat gun?

Recommended Posts

I have used the Black and Decker, Bluepoint, and am currently using a Makita. The Makita was $70, is kinda big, but has lasted for over 2 years. It is my favorite so far. What brands have you tried and recommend? :shiz

Makita mg1100 I think it is.... Longest lastin guns I've ever owned & we use them

6 days a week. thumb.gif

They have been pretty much abused one of the guns was run over with a dually

I had to glue it & tape it all up , the other one just bit the dust. The fan still worked,

the heating element was shot.

Dang I have tried sooo sooo many! I think one of the longest lasting was my ol big red Milwaulkee 287e5e7e-853c-4344-9644-07aa08fff7d4_300.jpg, but that sucker is so heavy. My fav is my little red Milwaulkee 517ZXZ21RGL._SL500_AA280_.jpg :wtf light weight and it has lasted awhile

bingo.gif I have two of them, one of them is over 5 years old from when I had just started. I love them, and nothing else compares now that I've used one

Ha, Ha, I forgot we have one of the "hair dryers" also! Had it for probably 6 years and is currently being used by the vinyl guy. It has to weigh at least 10 lbs! lol2.gif

milwaulkee's are too loud :wtf I got a milwaulkee from my distributor (you got a free one for every $1000 order) and was hopeful...but nope....I will stick with my makita thanks. :cool

was it a red milwaukee? its loud because it puts out a ton of air. I remember looking up the specs before and its like twice the cfm as most other guns
