Problem on C240

[Guest Suncs]

So my guys tinted a 2004 C240 4matic everything was fine until we finished the job. The Keyless entry stop working? any suggestions?

Check fuses?

Restore the Key to Factory Settings (per the Owner's Manual - I.e. hold lock and unlock buttons for six seconds waiting for two flashing lights).

Resync the key via the procedure that I inferred from reading various posts on keyless entry problems, I.e. turn the key to Position 2, turn the key to Position 0, remove the key, hold the lock button and press the unlock button five times all within ten seconds.

I doubt anything is broken, just some euro technical a$$ ache... worst case scenario a dealer could prob reprogram it quick.

Did you use a HP film?

When doing backglass if too much moisture is put on film and window gets saturated electronic components on upper part of backglass may come loose from window causing keyless entry too not work look under headliner upper left and check if the circuit board is loose if not you might have fried board and unfortunatly looking at a very expensive repair. good luck

Weel the guy took it to the dealer ship to see what is going on I have not gotten any feedback yeat.

Is this Car red I had a guy show up at our dealership in New mexico with this problem I looked at it our service department gave him a estimate of 1600.00:cry ( ouch) for replacement of backglass im in New Mexico hopefully cheaper for you Im telling you the module is on upper part of back glass and if it works intermitantly it probably is loose of it dont work at all its fried. Sorry if im wrong
