IS this a good deal for this Cutter???

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

I'm new to window tinting, and I'm trying to be an active member on this forum & I'm trying to absorb ALL the info from all of you guys like a sponge! :dunno

Im just starting out so I'm just gathering all the necessary tools to do the job.

I was planning on cutting the film by hand, but ran into this ad on Craigslist for this Plotter/Cutting Macine (guy claims it cuts window film)...

Is this the type of machine that is used to cut the window films for cars?

Is it a good deal for this Cutter?

Here is the link: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/bar/1916778172.html

All comments and suggestions will be helpful

No if you want to buy a plotter for auto tinting you should get one that will hold/cut 40" minimum.

hand cutting is no problem-been doing it for almost 20 years and you get just as good results

if I had a shop with a bunch of installers then I could see the comp cut being worth it-but since I prefer working alone, it just isn't worth it
