White Spots on New Window Tint

I got my windows tinted on Thursday (2-10-11). That particular day it was really cold and he told me to leave my car running for an hour or so with the Heat on full blast. I had other errands to run that day so I was in and out of the car for the next few hours, but never long enough for it to get cold. I let it stay on for an hour a few hours later. The next morning, it appeared to have frost inbetween the film and the window. Now, on all of the spots that had frost that morning, there are white hazy spots. One window actually has a whole hazy section, not just spots. Will this go away???

in the winter it can take upto 2 weeks for film to dry completely. You might try parking it in the sun if you can. I had a custy keep his car in a none heated garage one time that took about 2 weeks to dry out. However the first sunny day it sat outside the windows dried up just fine. :bingo

LOL back in 2000 I had my car tinted in 20 endurance in a January and it didn't dry completely until march.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
