shame he let the film touch his jumper when he was carrying it 10 miles from his board to the car (why not move the board right next to the window??), might not have been such a problem if he didnt have the workshop door open!!!!!!!

wouldnt trust the price 2 much either, show is all bs according to the "insider" i was talking to recently

Correct.

I know for a fact that the show rarely pays for things lke this as the supplier is happy for the free publicity.

as i've been a member of the toyota mr2 world for a few years now (10 ish) when they tarted up a mk1 to sell it on, that was the programme that ruined it for me, it was great to see a mk1 mr2 getting restored but when he searched and searched for a new front wing and 'found' one in a london scrapyard which was not only rust free and mint it was the same colour i quickly realised that the show really was as fake as you think

i know those wings arent available due to the rust they suffer from, so to get what he got he'd had to have planted it there

but to then see the tinter, tint with his door wide open right next to the rear window made me wince a bit but then again,maybe it wasnt windy???

but your right, problay did it for free to get publicity, would i do that??? maybe??? did it once for a magazine on a skyline!

they guy must have been doing it deliberately, so anyone watching couldn't pic up any diy tips, door open, jumper on, peel board a bus ride away from the car, surely no pro tinters make this many mistakes on 1 window?????

wasn't tinted in Glasgow was it??????

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
