YP custy can be the worst through price shopping.

I finally got fed up with their ideas and gave them this; place the following in a 2 inch column ad and nothing more than co name and number, "We'd like to impress you more with our film industry knowledge and skill rather than with anything we could have placed in a display ad"

Had more inquiries than all other years combined come through the first year it was used; go figure?

I still have a business card size ad, it barely pays for itself but usually if I get a call out of the phonebook it will be a residential job from a retired person..The salespeople for the phonebooks always throw the pitch that "you are not considered a real business if you don't have an ad in the phonebook"

You could tell the YB sales person that if the only job he can get is selling YP adds, he must not really be a professional sales person. I would say it...Just for spite

Thought they'd at least tell us we are unprofessional, dopers ect.
