I draw the line and what the naked eye can see...my naked eye. I've had customers pull out magnifing glasses before, or I get "Well you can't see it here, but at home in my garage..." Replacing film because the customer sees imperfections noticable only through special lenses if rediculous...I would have said for him to follow ZZ Topps advice to go out and get some cheap sunglasses.

I agree... If someone tells their buddy or neighbor, "look at my bad install", and they say "what do you mean?"... Oh, you have to put on these special sunglasses to see it! I think most people will take that at less than face value. If they post up a complaint online, a professional response stating that polarizing effects of glasses will show many things differently in the real world. That should not be a business hurting situation. But, Kudos for the extra effort on the customer service side of things! :thumb

Heck, I remember when I was installing the Clearplex windshield film for a couple months.. Polarized glasses did REALLY wierd things to your vision looking through that stuff. Enough to make me nervous about liability issues...

      70% Expel Plus on windshield ripple fix

      Are you certain it's the film and not the actual windshield? You will not be able to "fix" a ripple in film. If you do remove it inspect the windshield carefully though. Could well be the glass has issues.

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.
