Digi Tint / Film / Cut. How long?

Recommended Posts

Just curious.

How long do these guys usually last in dealerships that they have set up for "in-house" tinting??

They are trying to get a toe hold here in Indianapolis. Several Dealerships are now trying their "system"

To tell you the truth, I wish they would crawl back under the slimy rock they emerged from.

JERKS! :bat

The only way these in-house ops succeed is for the dealership to hire an out of work seasoned installer and be able to pay them what they're worth; otherwise, their sinking money into these systems is doomed to fail if using an existing employee who hasn't the skill set for tinting auto.

They don't last long. Each dealer would have to tint one cars a day, just to pay a tinter. If each dealer sent you more the 30 cars a month, then it worth it. All the Digi salesman makes it sound easy to use. Yes its easy to use but without a tinter, useless. Most dealership don't think about hiring a tint, when buying a machine.

Well, They're lasting in Indianapolis. In house programs have been in place a couple of years now and they have yet to give up on them

There is a difference between in house and digi cut IMO ..... Digi set up a dealer across the street from me few years back and had a seasoned Tinter, they lasted 5 weeks! I always found the software to be great but the company locked you into using horrible film. I think the word I'm looking for is crooked.... Again IMO!

Big question is what is going to happen to them now that Wes was killed last weekend.

At least one dealership here in Indy just dumped Digitint and called me in to install the inventory they are stuck with on their lot cars. I will gladly do it as it will be shear profit. As for the dealership they told me they are out of the window tint business for good. Too many headaches and too much inventory. I just wish the others we used to work for would come to that conclusion too.
