Ha, if that were to occur, they might show all the llumar ex-patriots the door -- again.

I don't know; the Penske Group investment in Suntek, well, upped the antie for sure. But If their new expansion involves metallizing capacity, that might make them very attractive to llumar.

CPFilms has been sold for several times like solargard, simply because these are the most profitable division of their former masters, fetching the best prices. IMHO, Eastman chemical can get back the bulk of their investment on solutia by divesting CPFilms.

Earlier, I mentioned that I can't "big boy mindset" about swallowing southwall and vkool with that kind of money. If solamatrix/sungard was included in the deal, kudos to the management's planning, but apparently the deal wasn't so. Besides, I think you can get a lion share of suntek from riverside back then for the same price. Of course, my continued failure to appreciate big-boy's thinking reaffirms that I am only a humble fat cat. Haha

I've not heard of Suntek having metalizing capacity, but they are currently undergoing expansion, which either could lead them to adding metalizing or adding anothe tandem laminator.

Funny you mention Eastman divesting CPFilms because in their press release they spoke of changing the leadership in a few of Solutia's divisions, but there appeared to be no mention of Performance Films.

Eastman could very well divest same as Akzo Nobel did with the film division when swallowing up Courtalds.

No my friend, divestment is just my own thinking for Eastman to harvest from the M&A quickly. It is not their plan.
