the 2 trades go hand in hand. As long as you turn out good auto work. You will have extra income for sure. It may not be flat glass money since you won't be the one tinting the cars. But it should make you enough spare cash to take one hella vacation every year.

Trust me, I dont miss tinting cars or anything about that side, but It could only help my flat glass business if I play the card right.

So its all coming together it seems. Found a tinter with 15 years experience with tinting, wraps, and paint protection who is moving to the area and needs a job. I met with him last week and he seems to be a good guy and enthusiastic about starting up a new shop. He stated he can do between 4-5 cars per day if he cuts the film and 7-8 if using a plotter. Now I'm just waiting for the guy who owns the space to finish renovating it. Its a huge space and basically gonna be a clean slate for us to set up for tinting and paint protection. So I will have this guy and my nephew (starts tinting classes next week at a local LLumar dealer) doing the tinting. Im looking to make between $90-$100 per car profit, which isn't bad not having to tint a car myself. Remember no rent no utilities, just $20/car goes to the guy who leases the place. Here are some pictures of the space. Keep in mind this will be renovated soon. All white walls and ceiling with a new epoxy floor.
