Yellow Spots in The Factory Clear Coat!!!

Starting on a white 2012 Mustang this morning and I've found two nasty yellow spots in the bumper. The car only has 260 miles on it, but Ill bet this guy has washed this thing ten+ times since he bought it!

I was thinking about trying some bleach gel. I've lightly sanded the the two hoping to see them lighten with no luck.

Any suggestions!!?

Call the customer. Is he under the impression that your doing paint correction on it.

I've already spoken to him about it. Yes now he's now under the impression I'm attempting to correct the issue. He had seen it before drop off an forgotten to mention it.

Its a good looking Boss 302 with the full stripe package and with the low mileage I'd just rather not lock in the spots without trying to do what I can.

I've detailed vehicles for almost 25 years, so of course evreything I have has been thrown at it. I know you'd think after all that time I'd have it licked. Under normal circumstances I doubt it would be an issue but this guy is rather particular.

Like I said, as a last resort, I sanded the area with a little 2000 grit and its IN the clear. I was just wondering if before I buff them back up and lay the bra out if a little bleach gel left to soak would help? Any other ideas would be great as well?

That sucks. I've seen that a couple times before with no good solution of how to get rid of it either really. Way to start off the week :(

I just tell customers that most stains will bleach out with sunlight. Park the car with the spots facing the sun for the next couple weeks.

I have been meaning to get a UV light that windshield repair guys use to cure their epoxy with... It probably wouldn't work fast enough...

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
