Best tint brand

Not even close. Have to have some tinting done and trying to sort out the information offered by various installers. Each likes their own product and says the competition stinks. So how's a guy to know who's right or what's best?

Every manufacturer makes some high end film, and some rather cheap films, look at that price you are paying, that is usually a clue. Manufacturer name alone means squat in tinting. Some of the best films out there are made by the same people that make some marginal "economy" films.

What features make a film high end? How do you identify a good installer?

Thanks for the responses.

No way to really explain it. But how it's made and how it's held up over a proven amount of time distinguish the good from the not so. Find a shop and tinter you trust, it's like everything out their, there are honest business people in every trade, but way too many slimeballs. Any of the tinters listed on the tinters registry in here would no doubt be your best bet. If they frequent this board, and participate, odds are they are among your better choices. Be VERY afraid of lowball pricing.

Thanks for the responses.

Ask to see an example of their work or some film they installed a couple of years ago.
