Make sure you are putting enough downward pressure on the blade. The angle youre looking for is probably like 30 deg from the edge of the window. Its kinda hard to explain.

keep your blade about 45 degrees down against the glass, use the edge of the knife for a guide, but don't press hard or it will scratch the film.

You might also want to try holding the tint against the glass just ahead of your cut. The movement of your knife can pull the film away from the glass and you won't get an accurate cut.

with the practice, you'll actually be able to feel when the knife isn't cutting through all the layers of film..time to snap it newbie..otherwise you'll either have to recut the same spot, or you'll push too hard to compensate and damage the glass :angel
