Gold standard film handler

When I ordered a film handler last year for some security film Midwest marketing sent me the gold standard. I called and complained but ultimately kept it because I needed it at the time. Now I call to get some parts and they tell me a big story about how the dude who made it was sick or something. I asked about the original film handler and Jim told me they where low quality and he will never go back to them. I am not convinced this is true. Should I just ditch the gold standard for the original? What do you think?

Also, some people love their film handlers. And some(like me) :embar Just have theirs sitting on the wall. :DD

I installed without one for 19 years. I prefer using the film handler and pre cutting at home now. I just want another cutting head or 2.

Why not buy a cutting head from any other supplier for that film handler or are they so different in design from the original? :dunno

I think I would make Jim come up with parts of this "better" filmhandler. If not then he should take it back and give you credit. It may have been a year but still they sold you something they say is better but can't provide any parts for?
