Heard once that you could save a bundle on buying new plotter blades by finding an excellent tool sharpener in your area and have the blades sharpened.

Once you've saved up a few old blades, you can send them to Bits and Bits for resharpening. I think they charge $5 per blade. We've done it for years and have had good results.
