I know this has been beat to death, and l have looked at some past post to. Had an cust upset about the dots and all stuck but about two inches at top. Cust did not want vinyl, cut out or paint,(witch i don't like at all). Did not glue. He said another shop said they can make it stick. Is there another method I have not heard of other than sanding. Told him to give a few weeks but came back next day upset. If I can learn from this I would like to. Thanks.

Did you sand it? If so I had one that had a few spots that weren't perfect. The customer went out a couple weeks later and pushed it down with his fingers. This was on a Ford fusion I believe. I sanded them by the way.

school glue sticks work well. after you squeegee the window out, take your squeegee or prohandle and wrap it 3 or 4 times in a perfect

or miracle cloth. paper towel if you dont have them. squeegee's dont get inbetween the dots. the cloths over the squeegee will to get

the water out. let it sit for a few. the film i use I then blow torch the outside to warm it up then again with a prohandle wrapped

in a cloth to lay it down. or peel back the top, apply a school glue stick and with a hard card push the excess glue out. I use a

hard card because you want to leave the glue in the dots. goes on purple, dries clear. good for us old blind tinters

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
