what is the best way to cut the film with the soft top? it seems to cover a lot of the window?

Use a sharpie to mark the outline, move the pattern down and trim the top or up and trim bottom, shrink that half, move the pattern the other way and shrink the other part.

Cut the pattern large enough past the line to cover the inside with no light gap.

thanks for the quick response i just got glass for a peel board ill have to try this out its a personal car so i am my own critic at this point been searching a lot on here wow this is a great place for advise! i got a cheap ebay precut tint that i used just for the experience not the finished product now I'm using the classic black 15% from ewf and my side windows are "ok" for now but its time to reattempt the back window!

You can also mark it with a sharpie from the inside before install
