Low-E Films

Planning to introduce your own Low-E films? It is quite affordable now as Japanese currency is very weak.

Windshield Protection Film

 

Several factories are launching windshield protection films in 2016. From my understanding, there are 4 consortiums.

 

Team A: Madico-Clearplex (existing) - rumoured that they upgraded their version recently

Team B: Japanese consortium - with some unconfirmed rumours regarding participation of elements from Team A

Team C: Korean consortium - targeting to outperform Team A

Team D: Korean/Chinese consortium - Planning to produce economy-grade US$100 rolls by using Exterior 4MIL Clear safety films into this purpose. They are targeting 1-year lifespan because windshield protection films are not required to last very long. However, they are stuck at the SR technicalities.

Thanks to Mike's sharing, I came to know that 3M also launched Low-E films in US. Earlier, i only heard about 3M Low-E in Japan
