Need Help With This 1996 Corvette

Looking for some tips (order of operations) to help me shrink the back glass on a 1996 Chevy Corvette. (already know to remove latch and struts)

The defrosters top and bottom get on my nerves, too thick, makes it hard for me to lay um down.

Vertical defrosters were the best for inside seam cuts on them yr vettes

Never did that style in one piece,,but they thought I did

And yes the defrosters are thick,,scrubb clean them good

Its not to bad. Just make sure when u do it let it sit in sun all day then reassemble the strut mounts to the glass the next day . The mounts spin when the hatch goes up and down so it will want to twist the film. H pattern and shrink as normal.

If you are going to one piece it you need to remove the the shocks and hardware but the window is heavy as without them I would recommend doing it in 3 pieces do  the middle in 1 piece and then do the two far side pieces splicing it on the  last defroster line on each side.I would also remove the bottom latch when tinting it good luck

What Mr. Paladin said. That's how I always did them. When reinstalling the gasket and shocks, I cut around the gasket so that the film doesn't get twisted later on from the movement of the shocks when the hatch is raised and lowered over time.
