That's the catch with commission ... You don't get paid for the 'extra' stuff

Exactly. It's normally one or the other. With that being said, everything is negotiable. Wouldn't hurt asked, but normally being paid per sq/ft works out nicely even taking into account those other things.

Anything related to an install, driving, cutting film for that job, etc would be included. Shop time for installs or whatever that you are doing for other installers, that I would ask about some other agreeable arrangement.

  Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

  Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

  I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..
