Always preferred fleet accounts to dealerships,  want it yesterday and you to pay them to do it  LOL.  The P.O. is the money for all practical purposes and the sales staff to lazy to get you one.   You need to find out what works for "That" dealership.  Who sells the tint? sales, Finance or aftermarket specialist?  Start with I appreciate your business.  many different vendors, what is their standard system?.  Some I required Keys and P.O ready when we got there preferably dropped at reception or designated spot to save time with shades written on P,O,   Best system I found was to have prep manager call you.  Their job is to coordinate all deliveries with all vendors and prep to meet deadline for delivery, let them be the bad guy LOL

I always go to service for every vehicle and get a PO. If they told you they do not pay after the 30, that is wrong, most pay on the net 30 (that is why I quit dealing with them this way) now I get paid twice a week when the accountant is in. I always find out when accounting writes the checks and I am in their window that day. Some dealerships write checks every Friday, some bi-weekly and others on a net. Dealerships are funny, they will act like they can go somewhere else (but is is hard for them to work in new avenues due to getting a rythem sales and service can follow) and if they liked your work would be back anyway. You shouldn't have any problems with this in Michigan. Put your concerns to the service manager, if that doesn't resolve immediately, go to the General Manager and be done with it. They are obligated (if you can verify, which the Work order will, that is why a vin and stock number is the most important factor) to pay you even if it has been year. Good luck

Cheers

Dont release car without a PO# and if they are still not paying you then dont do work for them. Otherwise i would speak to dealership manager/owner about the issues if that doesnt work then its not your interest to keep working that way.

:thumb Exactly what I had to do with one of my dealers.  I was having the same issues with PO's getting "overlooked"...They now know that no PO means they don't get the car back.

I would raise their prices after they finally pay as well :twocents

:ditto

I've been in this game a long time and it can tell you for sure dealerships will suck the life out of you. They want it now they want it cheap. The last thing they are thinking about is you or your business.I would focus on your retail customers. If you do good work and keep regular consistent store hours they will meet your demands. I've been pencil whipped be dealers most have no respect for your talent. On the other hand I have had better luck working with county and city divisions. They have no problem paying the bills.

Dealer accounts get on my last nerve sometimes. I recently lost one that was always 90 days delinquent over Installing legal film. I only install legal for any dealership. If customers want darker they have to deal with me themselves so when I refused to remove legal and replace with darker film on invoice .... Fired me!

@KonSiva you gotta do what is good for your bussiness. No respect for you and all you do for them :twocents
